Back to School Success: Organize Your Priorities and Schedule for Thriving Moms in Business

While my back-to-school routine is different at the empty nester stage, I am holding space for all moms in both the corporate world and mompreneurs shifting gears from summer fun to fall focus!

As we embark on this new school year, rest assured that I have valuable suggestions to guide you in transforming your outlook on victories and challenges into profound lessons, all while maintaining a harmonious and effortless home environment.

Always remember your Why - your goal is to become Better, not Bitter!

Let's all acknowledge the undeniable truth - Motherhood is undeniably challenging - and when you add working outside the home, whether for your own business or an organization, it becomes even more demanding! As we navigate the early days of the school year, I urge you to reaffirm your WHY. Why am I managing all of this - being a Mom, excelling at my job, running a business, pursuing personal aspirations while maintaining a household. What drives me? Take a moment to write it down and revisit it daily. Throughout the year - particularly when faced with last-minute school projects or unexpected chaos - pause, reflect on your purpose, and remind yourself of your WHY. Our ultimate objective is continuous growth, striving to be Better, not Bitter!

Extend Grace - Learning and Growing is hard for all of us!

Regardless of the educational level our children are at, they are undoubtedly experiencing new things this year. Whether it's inside the classroom, during lunchtime, or simply socializing with friends, each moment is an opportunity for growth and learning. As mothers, we witness our children facing challenges, making mistakes, feeling lost, or getting excited - all part of their journey. It's not always easy, but during these pivotal moments, it's crucial to offer grace - to both our kids and ourselves. Extending grace means showing kindness, compassion, and love, even when it's not expected or reciprocated. So, when the going gets tough, remember to be gentle on yourself and your children. In these times, a little extra grace can go a long way.

Mastering Time Blocking with Ultimate Flexibility

Time blocking is a powerful technique where you allocate specific blocks of time for different tasks or activities. This helps you focus on one task at a time, increasing productivity and reducing stress.

Dive into organizing your day like a pro by assigning dedicated time blocks for work tasks, family commitments, and self-care activities. Take control of your schedule and conquer your day by reserving specific time slots, such as 9 AM to 12 PM for laser-focused business activities, 12 PM to 1 PM for some heartwarming family time over lunch, and 1 PM to 3 PM for crucial meetings or client work. And don't forget to sprinkle in buffer periods to tackle any unexpected surprises or tasks that demand a little extra time.

Set Weekly Priorities with a Family-First Approach

Setting clear weekly priorities helps you focus on what truly matters both in business and at home, preventing overwhelm.

Get ready to kickstart your week with energy and focus! Start by identifying your top 3 exciting business goals and top 3 heartwarming family priorities. It's time to align these with your long-term dreams and aspirations. Imagine the joy of spending quality time with your loved ones - make it happen by planning fun activities that bring you closer together. And for your business success, break down those goals into actionable tasks and slot them into your calendar.

You've got this, Mom! Wishing you all a fantastic Back to School season!
